Puttalyze Green Reading

With the Quintic Overhead Tracker, we can capture and analyze up to 350 frames per second from the roll of your ball. This allows us to see if you are aiming correctly and actually playing where you are aiming. At the end of the lesson you will receive a video with all the information of the analysis, and some exercises to help you learn to read the green better.

Quintic Ball Roll Overhead Putt Tracker

The software will track the complete path of the golf ball throughout its journey, measuring parameters such as ball speed, aim location, start direction, apex, point of true roll, total distance and ball entry speed. The software works with a Quintic High-Speed Camera mounted in the ceiling above the putting area.

There are many applications of the Overhead Putt Tracker ranging from green reading, putter fitting, player and putter face alignment, break reading, pace control and, most importantly, feedback on each putt.

The software allows for multiple comparisons of shot patterns, dispersion and consistency. It will test the player’s intended aim against the actual start direction of the golf ball, either on a flat surface or slope! Visual cues used by a player at set-up, along with their posture, have a significant influence on aim and start direction. Ball speed determines line, therefore different ball speeds will result in different ball paths. These can be layered on top of each other in the summary tab in the software. Once the ideal ball path is recorded, this can be superimposed on the LIVE video providing immediate feedback on both direction and ball speed.

Consistency / Range Values How to interpret the numbers...

Blue / Eagle – Best of the Best!

The equivalent of a robot, it is not possible to do any better as a human being, please don’t try and improve this parameter, just ensure the you understands what you need to do to create such consistency for this parameter.

Green / Birdie – Very Good

These are still very consistent numbers created by the player. Again ensure the You understands what you need to do to create such consistency for this parameter.

Amber / Par – Average

Average range numbers, you are not going to set the world on fire, however they are still more than acceptable ranges..

Red  / Bogey – Poor

Irrespective of the level of golf played by the golfer, ranges in the red are going to hurt them, they display significant levels of inconsistency. Technique and club fitting need to be considered if putting performance is to be improved.
